Gold
Gold is wealth, and it is also the oldest symbol we have for something that does not decay.
What Jung wrote
For centuries alchemists tried to turn base metal into gold. In Psychology and Alchemy Jung argued that many of them were doing something else at the same time, projecting an inner process onto their furnaces and flasks. The gold they were after was, by their own account, not ordinary gold.
Read that way, gold in a dream need not be about money at all. It can stand for something of lasting value, worked for slowly and found in an unlikely place, which Jung connected with his idea of the Self.

What we don’t do
We won’t tell you what your gold means. Jung himself distrusted fixed dream dictionaries and held that a symbol can only be read in the life of the person who dreams it. Archetype Matrix only counts: who logged the same image, where, and in what mood.
