The Fish
Fish come up out of deep water, which may be why people so often log them alongside the sea.
What Jung wrote
In Aion Jung spends several chapters on the fish. It was an early sign for Christ, and it gives its name to the astrological age of Pisces, which began around the time of his birth. Jung traced how the two fishes of the zodiac carried a tension between opposites through two thousand years of Western culture.
On a personal level he read fish as contents rising from the unconscious: alive, slippery, hard to hold. Catching one, or watching one swim away, was for him a picture of how a new piece of awareness comes up to the surface.

What we don’t do
We won’t tell you what your fish means. Jung himself distrusted fixed dream dictionaries and held that a symbol can only be read in the life of the person who dreams it. Archetype Matrix only counts: who logged the same image, where, and in what mood.
