Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what data Archetype Matrix ("the app", "we") collects when you use it, how that data is used, and who it may be shared with. By downloading or using the app, you agree to this policy.

1. About Archetype Matrix

Archetype Matrix is a mobile app inspired by Carl Jung's concept of the collective unconscious. It gathers the momentary mood and archetype entries of its users into transparent, statistical patterns. The app does not perform any AI-based interpretation — it only counts and groups data.

2. Data we collect

Depending on how you use the app, we collect:

• Guest use: If you use the app without creating an account, a random device-specific identifier (a guest device ID) is generated. This identifier is never linked to your name, email, or any other personal information.
• Sign in with Google: If you sign in with your Google account, the basic profile information Google provides (a user ID) is stored.
• Entry data: The country, age group, gender, mood, archetype(s), and optional personal note you enter. All of these fields are self-reported and optional; the app never collects GPS or device location.
• Notification identifier: If you grant permission, a push-notification token tied to your device is stored so in-app notifications and the "Resonance Signal" feature can work.
• Usage and technical data: In-app interactions (such as which screens are opened or purchase completion) and crash reports are collected in aggregate to help us improve the app.
• Subscription information: If you purchase a PRO subscription, the transaction is processed through Google Play; your payment card details never reach our servers.

3. How we use your data

• To calculate and display your personal statistics (Your Rhythms, monthly summaries, and similar).
• To include your archetype and mood entries in collective, global statistics without revealing your identity.
• To power the Resonance Signal feature, which anonymously matches users who logged the same archetype and mood.
• To monitor app stability and fix bugs (crash reports).
• To verify and manage your PRO subscription status.
• To present the app in your preferred language.

Your entries are never "interpreted" by any AI or machine-learning model. Collective statistics are based purely on counting and grouping — for example, "how many people logged the Snake archetype with an Anxious mood today."

4. Third-party services

The app relies on the following trusted infrastructure providers, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure.
• Google Sign-In — optional account sign-in.
• RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management.
• Firebase (Google) — Analytics (usage statistics), Crashlytics (crash reports), and Cloud Messaging (push notifications).

5. Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account remains active. If you would like your account and associated data deleted, you can contact us at the address below; your request will be processed within a reasonable timeframe. Guest users can remove their local profile by uninstalling the app; anonymous entries already submitted to collective statistics (which cannot be traced back to you) may remain in the system.

6. Children's privacy

Archetype Matrix is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from this age group. If a parent or guardian believes a child under 13 has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Data security

Your data is hosted on infrastructure providers (Supabase, Google Firebase) that apply industry-standard encryption and access controls. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is ever completely secure.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
